World Day of Audiovisual Heritage

The 27 October is the official day that UNESCO has designated to celebrate audiovisual cultural heritage. The theme for this year's celebrations is " Audiovisual heritage memory – the clock is ticking". CCAAA encourages member organisations to draw attention to the threats posed to the survival of AV heritage with the passing of time.

A conference to celebrate the 20th anniversary of UNESCO's Memory of the World programme will also highlight these threats. Measures to protect endanged archives is the focus of the "Archives at Risk" project which now operates under the CCAAA mantle.
